MAHAL NA MAHAL KONG SIMBAHAN: NAGTATANONG LANG PO

1. Need ba talagang may stipend ang mga pari o mga obispo kung mag-administer o witness ng sacraments?
(I talked to many church volunteers at ang sabi nila: "NAKU, BROTHER VINCENT, NAHIRAPAN NA KAMING KUMUHA NG PARI PARA SA CITY JAIL DAHIL HINDI NA UMUULIT KUNG WALANG STIPEND".
2. Bakit po ba kailangan talaga ang stipend?

3. Hindi po ba libre dapat ang sacraments? (Pakipaliwanag lang po ang reasons behind the mandatory stipend.)

4. Ang mandated amount daw sa Kasal, BContinue

Bumalik Ka Na Lang Kung Marunong Ka Na: A Confession

A month ago, a former Psychology student of mine dropped by my office and cried while complaining: "Bakit ganun 'yong pari doon sa Quiapo Church, Sir Vincent? I entered the confession box para magconfess through him." I asked him what happened. He continued: "Natagalan po akong magsalita kasi tensed na tensed ako. When I started talking, the priest got angry." I reacted: "Anong sabi ng pari?" Ganito po ang sabi niya: "Umalis ka na at bumalik ka nalContinue

RODOLFO NOEL I. LOZADA, Jr.: THE ICON OF DEMOCRATIC SUPPORT

"The National Broadband Network (NBN) Deal is a controversial contract between the Philippine and Chinese governments. The deal involves commissioning a China-based telecommunications company to set-up a broadband internet network in the country connecting all local government units (LGUs) and government agencies nationwide. alam mo vincent, sumasabog ang ating puso kung hindi nating sasabihin ang nilalaman nito. Maybe that is your calling , but not everyone has that calling so i admire you for being bold and straightforward. Just follow your heart coz God speaks to the heart not to the mind. My husband peter and me will pray for you always .

Hi Vincent,

Ur welcome. salamat din sa comment.

True, I think it all boils down to corporate greed kaya these plantation owners have become devoid of concern for children's welfare (palibhasa nakakulong sa airconditioned rooms mga anak nila kaya di nga ata naarawan), healthy minds, hearts and souls..

They talk about corporate social responsibility, and yet they do not respect legislations that protect people's health, safety and environment.

They want dead bodies at the expense of the communities living near the banana plantations (not to mention the number of pilots who have died during aerial spraying operations).

They say we need more evidence that aerial spraying causes harm, yet they have not given us the proof that the pesticides that they are using are safe.

Hayy, anyhow, please visit www.dirtybananas.org.

Salamat!

Blessed be the Divine Mercy of God brother!... Have you seen the Divine Mercy Shrine being built at El Salvador near Cagayan new Airport? Now according to my Friend Lorelyn it is like pilgrimage site in Mindanao now. It draws a lot of people. I am very glad. She said it is about 50 feet high. I will get some pictures from her friendster and post it in my photos here. God Bless you! Delete Comment

Thank you for your kind words! The only issue that I would like to expand on is the reference of "respect and preserve." Because we were given the charge of the earth(Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.). What is interesting about this quote is the word "dominion." The hebrew word is râdâh
raw-daw' which means to tread down, that is, subjugate; specifically to crumble off: - (come to, make to) have dominion, prevail against, reign, (bear, make to) rule, (-r, over), take. Now I am the first to admit that many things have been done wrong in this action, but when mankind realized it error (with the advancement of technology), it went from "crumbling off" the earth, to developing it - the greatest form of "respect and preserve."

It is also important to remember that nature itself is filled with anomolies that still defy our reason. For example, the California Giant Sequoia must burn to propigate. Mt. Pinatubo (don't know if I spelled that right) deposited more Fluorocarbons into the atmosphere than man could have ever done in thousands of arisol cans.

So you see, "respect" can be manifested by developement; as I have mentioned in our forestry industry here in the USA. Becasue of management, we have more trees than we had before. This has been a nice conversation. I find the filipino people so wonderful! Like I have mentioned before, I would love to teach at a college or university there in RP.

Blessings!
