coming back home to basilan after more than 2 decades out of it was a decision i never regretted...Zanboanga and Manila gave me the education i needed but only Basilan could give me the peace and solitude my heart has yearned since I was young...there's a poem that best describe my feelings..
venid a mi alcazar
la fragil cabana
que se esconde timida tras un platanal
entrad kon quidado
es de nipa y cana..
pero es el sanctuario de mi soledad..
